Jerry Lacy, the owner of Double Tough Ranch, has been breeding, showing, and judging horses since 1960. Located 2 hours east of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 16 miles north of Sulphur Springs Tx., Double Tough is just off highway 19.


Double Tough Ranch has raised many top cutters, and all-around horses that have won at halter, cutting, reining, pleasure, roping and working cow horse. They also raise beautiful ranch horses that work for a living.

Many Double Tough bred horses have been sold throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

We offer top bred Stallions with great bloodlines and foundations that include: Doc Bar, Double Tough Doc, Docs Acey Deucey, Mighty Te Go, Way Out West, Command A Buck, Fritz Command, King Fritz, King P234, Poco Bueno, Bert, Leo, Joe Reed and Hollywood Gold.

Mares at Double Tough have Doc Bar, King P234, Poco Tivio, Hollywood Gold, Cee Bars, and other top foundation breeding in pedigree.

Double Tough colts have great conformation, are very athletic, and have great dispositions. All the different bloodlines give lots of color in our colts. We have duns, red duns, grullas, palominos, bays, buckskins, sorrels, and chestnuts.
